Working With Wood

I love wood. I mean…it’s from a tree! You can’t get more natural and rustic than that right? I think it’s such a great way to add an organic element to your event. In my own wedding I had a weathered old door that I hung skeleton keys on. Attached was a tag with the guest’s name and table number.

My latest obsession though is old fireplace mantles as a cool focal point. How great would it be to display pictures of a bride and groom or even some cool props to add to a theme like the picture below? Such a unique idea! I just added an amazing mantle to my collection and can’t wait to use it!

It’s so fun to take something old and give it new life!

Love the skeleton key idea! It’s such a creative departure from the run-of-the-mill place cards on a table.

This is gorgeous! What a great vintage & fresh look all in one. I especially like the framed photos using ribbon and clips… so clever = ) The monochromatic color scheme with a pop of color is very appealing. I want this in my home.
